Browsing in a bookstore this evening, I found Barbara Kingsolver’s book, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Part recipe book, part diary and part guidebook, it’s an interesting story about her family’s radical decision to abandon the urban lifestyle and move to a rural area where they grew and made their own food and basic necessities from scratch.
