So Vatican officials wagged their finger at Prez Obama for overturning the ban on state funding for family-planning groups that facilitate abortions overseas. And for approving the first human trials using embryonic stem cells of a therapy to help paralyzed patients regain movement.
Hmm, if memory serves, the last President of the United States who so oh-so-piously protected the “right to life” and prevented scientific experiments to further progress on stem cell research was also responsible for instigating war and massacre in the name of personal gain and profit. Not to mention single-handedly sinking his own country’s economy down the drain as a result of that war.
(And what did the Vatican officials have to say about that war? Nothing, apparently, as long as it doesn’t have anything to do with a fetus’ “right to life” and any positive scientific advancement that might, oh I don’t know, save a life or two. God forbid the sheep discover a healthier, happier, better way of life!)
Forgive me, Fathers, I think I’d rather go with this President, thankyouverymuch.
